Investigation Log – V. Grant, Day 6

Mrs. Kowalski received me kindly, a pleasant woman with a composed manner. And yet, much like others, she appears to have gained something from the fire. The pattern is becoming difficult to ignore.

A new detail surfaced in the latest police report. A mention of a witness, not yet identified. Curious how such a person remains in the shadows while the rest of the village speaks so freely.

With each step, the outline of the culprit grows sharper. Not enough to name them, but enough to feel their presence.

I was followed again today. This time I turned and confronted it, only to find Lukas Weber, concerned that I might be losing my way around the village. A kind gesture, perhaps, though in my current state even kindness feels uncertain.

He suggested I visit the gingerbread stand next. Amelia Brown.

It seems as good a place as any to continue.
