Investigation Log – V. Grant, Day 14
Noah Mitchell was fortunate. His small post office remained untouched by the fire, almost as if the flames chose to pass it by. Luck, perhaps… or something else.
He offered little of substance. A pleasant man, but not a useful witness. I begin to wonder if I have drifted too far from the center of this case. The trail that once felt so clear now seems scattered, broken into too many directions.
And yet, the reports grow sharper.
Fewer suspects remain, the circle tightening with each new piece of evidence. But clarity does not always follow reduction. What binds them together? What thread have I failed to see?
I need perspective.
Someone who watches without being noticed. Someone with a view over people, patterns, movement.
The stage.
Yes… that may be the right direction.
I will speak with Isabella Rossi next.
